What Mercury Sextile Neptune And Mercury Trine Saturn Horoscope Means For Your Love Life And Relationships Until 2020

Sometimes things really do come together when we least expect it.

On May 16th, there is a set of positive Mercury alignments, which makes our zodiac signs feeling more in touch with our dreams and reminding us that perfect divine timing is always at play. These two transits include Mercury sextile Neptune, with Mercury in Taurus and Neptune in Pisces, and Mercury trine Saturn, again with Mercury in Taurus and Saturn in Capricorn.

In astrology, Mercury is the planet that rules our communication, so when we have two aspects that deal with this planet, we can expect that this isn’t just a transit that’s quietly thinking it out on the sidelines. And our love horoscopes will prove just that.

With one of the transits not occurring again until next year and the other happening again this year in September, we can expect to focus on what arises for the rest of the year, with a challenge or test coming around again in the fall to see if we have learned what we were meant to.

Mercury is all about conversation, those four little words we often dread: “We need to talk.” But there’s also a lot of strength and power with Mercury. It’s the ability to think clearly about a variety of issues; it’s about taking what we’re thinking and creating an action plan; but it’s also about how we can take our internal dialogue and articulate that to others in our lives.

Currently, Mercury is in Taurus for both transits, which means this planet has a very stable energy. He’s focused on building, taking his time, and doing things right, but he’s also focused on what is real.

This means that if it doesn’t feel worthwhile or genuine, we’re just not going to be spending our time on it. This is a very calm placement for Mercury, so while perhaps he might be stubborn thanks to the bull, it’s only over these things that mean the most. With both aspects he makes today, there is a longer vision associated with it, having to do with making our dreams a reality and the time and work it takes to actually make it happen.

The first transit is Mercury in Taurus sextile Neptune in Pisces. A sextile in astrology is when two planets are within 60 degrees of one another, creating a positive aspect, a moment of impact, and one of those opportunities that doesn’t come around every day. While we know what Mercury in Taurus is trying to accomplish here, Neptune in Pisces is all about our dreams, what we hope for, and even for who we love.

Neptune is the planet that governs our dreams, our sense of spirituality, mystery, and the sense that we’re all here for a greater reason than to just simply work and pay bills. Pisces is the ruling sign of Neptune, which makes this an even more beneficial aspect because this planet is at home here.

Pisces is the twelfth sign of the zodiac and the one that is said to exhibit qualities from other signs. A mystery unto herself, Pisces is known for representing unconditional love and a deep sense of spirituality. Together, there isn’t anything that seems impossible with Neptune in Pisces.

But as we know, dreams don’t work unless we do; whether it has to do with that start up, a college degree program, or even our relationship, we need to be able to put in the necessary work to make them happen. This is where Mercury comes in. He’s ready to make a plan, to take his time, and do what needs to be done to make it happen.

Because of this, even the most difficult obstacle will suddenly seem doable this month; the hardest challenges or even the most complicated of situations will appear as if it were only a matter of figuring out the right way to go about it.

It’s not just that we’re going to be able to work on creating our dreams or even that we’re going to be able to figure a way out of a difficult situation, but that our faith in doing so will be renewed. We will be making things happen because we will finally believe we can, and feeling confident in our own abilities is more than half the battle of making our dreams come true.

The second aspect is Mercury in Taurus trine Saturn in Capricorn. A trine is when two planets are within 120 degrees and are in true harmony with one another, working together perfectly. Saturn is the father of the zodiac, otherwise known as the lord of time and karma. He helps us become aware of boundaries and shows us what we need to grow and learn.

This is the planet that reminds us that divine timing is always at play, even when it seems all is lost, and nowhere else does this feel truer than our romantic relationships.

Saturn is also currently retrograding, acting even more strongly and also giving us that extra boost of positive energy. This planet is ready to not only help us move forward but also show us what we need to learn from our pasts. Growth is not linear; sometimes we have to go backwards before we go forwards, and sometimes we have to take care of something from our pasts before we can enjoy what’s to come. And in this case, Saturn wants us to make it right.

Together, Mercury and Saturn are going to help us communicate our boundaries, the important lessons we’ve learned, and those we’re still learning, especially ones that are related to our hearts, as Taurus, the sign Mercury is in, is the ruling sign for Venus, the planet of love.

No matter how much financial, career, or even personal success we have, we still all desire to have love in our lives; we want that partner who complements the already amazing life we have. But sometimes, it’s about believing in the impossible and trusting that nothing is really over until it’s over.
