When it comes to how we see the world, sometimes we need a bit of change to set things right. If we are stuck in a negative mindset, looking back on the way we view things can really set us off in the correct direction.
If you are ever down and out, you need to really look at the way in which you are facing the things before you. Below I am going to go over some of the ‘rules’ you should always take yourself back to when it comes to really becoming a happier and more positive person. These rules will bring out parts of you that you might not have realized still even existed.
While some of them will be hard to keep up with the longer you work with them the easier they will become. These things can and will benefit you greatly if you allow them to. Being more mindful of these things is one of the best forms of self-care.
9 Rules That Will Change The Way You Perceive The World Around You:
The Rule Of Conformity
We do not have to conform. While we have to know how to exist in this world within reason, we do not have to fit into a box. While you may want to try to do so, it is not going to be something that brings you happiness. Just because other people do it does not mean you have to do it.
The Rule Of Presence
If you want other people to be present in your life you have to make an effort to be present in their lives. Right now is all we truly have and we should be making the most of it. Go out and do the things you want to do. If you want to travel, do it. If you want to visit someone you haven’t spoken to in a long time, go for it.
The Rule Of Reciprocity
If you are not giving what you wish to receive why should you expect it? We get what we give in this world and that is something we have to come to terms with. If we are not getting what we need from someone and are offering more than we are taking in return, we should make changes in regards.
The Rule Of Optimism
As human beings, we should all be as optimistic as possible. Standing around complaining and whining about your situation is not going to do you any good. When something bad happens, you should work to make the best of it.
The Rule Of Dependency
We should do things on our own, but still, help others within reason. Allowing other people to become dependent on us and becoming dependent on others should not happen. We all need to know when to say no and how to take care of ourselves above all else.
The Rule Of Mistakes
We all make mistakes, no one is perfect. This world is not as simple as it seems. Sometimes we are faced with hard decisions and even when we choose the wrong option we have to keep going. Mistakes are not something we can avoid, ever.
The Rule Of Responsibility
We are responsible for our own actions. Other people are not forcing us to do things (within reason). If you are not living the life you want to live make changes to strive for more. Own up to your past and look forward to your future. You cannot become who you are meant to be without being responsible for yourself.
The Rule Of Smiles
Smiling hurts no one and can brighten your day as well as the day of others. If you have nothing to offer, a smile can go a long way. There is nothing wrong with being positive in general. Kindness is a lot easier to share than most people think and it should be shared as often as possible.
